Recognition Primitives Library System Requirements

The Intel Recognition Primitives Library runs on Intel Architecture-based personal computers running Microsoft* Windows* platforms. The library integrates into an application or library written in C or C++. The Recognition Primitives Library requires the following hardware and software:

  • Hardware
    • Intel Pentium® processor-based system (a Pentium, Pentium Pro, Pentium with MMX™ technology, or Pentium II processor-based system) or Intel486™ processor-based system
    • 16 megabytes RAM (32 megabytes RAM recommended)
  • Software
    • Microsoft Windows 95, Windows NT*
    • A C++ compiler: Intel C/C++ version 2.4 (or later), Microsoft Visual C++ version 5.0, or Borland* C++ version 5.0


Best performance can be achieved when applications using the library are run on Pentium processors with MMX™ technology.
